Japanese Innovation / Mechanical Purging

ASACLEAN R Series

New rheology innovation — for faster, cleaner purging safer for machines than ever

Built to lift color changes, resin changes, cut residue, and make purging easier to control in injection molding and extrusion

Thailand status: RU and RE are available now; RX import and sale in Thailand have not begun — follow CSC news for the launch date

Problem First

Why is conventional purging not enough?

Factory problems never come from old color alone — they come from flow, wall adhesion and in-machine build-up

1

Old color exits slowly

Old material still sits in dead spots and barrel walls, stretching rinse time

2

Specks / intermittent carbon release

Baked residue degrades under repeated heat and breaks off in episodes

3

Purged but still long rinse times

Some purging compounds carry high residue or never leave dead zones

4

Hot Runner / gate / screw at risk

From harsher-than-needed grades or wrong path clearance

Rheology Innovation

Rheology means controlling flow behavior — not stronger chemistry

R Series uses flow power and mechanical shear to cut machine risk and make purging easier to control

Flow ControlShear ForceWall ContactLow ResidueSafer Mechanical Cleaning
1. Old resin sticks to barrel walls

Heat-born residue and old color still on walls and screw roots

2. R Series enters the screw

Material designed to flow, press and spread more evenly

3. Even shear and pressure build

Right flow raises wall contact and lifts residue off walls

4. Purge exits with residue

Cleaner machine, easier next-job starts

Machine Setting Guide

Tune machines right to run R Series at full power

ASACLEAN R Series is mechanical purge, so performance comes from controlling temperature, shear, pressure and machine-wall contact

Injection Molding Recommended Setting

  1. Temperature: RU 180–330°C / RE 160–300°C; RX data 180–330°C
  2. Back Pressure: Safe yet sufficient levels for barrel-wall press and contact
  3. Screw Speed: Normal to fairly high levels within machine safety limits, for shear
  4. Screw Position: Run the screw near full-forward for barrel sweep
  5. RU / RE Residence: Above 280°C, never over 30 min in barrel
  6. RX Residence: Maker data bars any RX barrel residence at any temperature; not yet sold in Thailand

Extrusion Recommended Setting

  1. Set temperatures inside the running grade range
  2. Screw speed giving continuous stable shear within machine limits
  3. Feed matched to actual flow — neither overload nor starving
  4. RU needs ≥0.5 mm clearance and screens no finer than 100 mesh
  5. RX is maker data and not yet sold in Thailand — clearance must be checked with the team if it ever launches
Key note: Real settings shift with resin type, machine, temperature, residue state and hot runner / die / screen pack limits — cite the TDS and technical support advice before real use

FAQ

FAQ: RU, RE and RX status in Thailand

Transition data, temperature ranges, packaging, trials and launch status in brief

Why were ASACLEAN™ U and newE discontinued?
To improve product performance and simplify the line — RU builds on U and RE builds on newE
What are the RU and RE temperature ranges?
Maker data: RU 180–330°C (same range as U) and RE 160–300°C. Stay in range and check the TDS before real use
Did pack sizes change?
U → RU stays 20 kg/bag; newE → RE moves from 25 kg/bag to 20 kg/bag
Until when can U and newE be ordered?
U / newE sell through end of March 2026; after that date orders switch to RU and RE respectively
Is RX on sale in Thailand yet?
Not yet available in Thailand. RX data on this page cites the Asahi Kasei maker; follow CSC news for import and launch dates
What are the key RX limitations?
RX contains Glass Fiber, runs 180–330°C for injection and extrusion (barrel section only). The manufacturer prohibits sealing and any barrel residence at any temperature.
Can I trial RU/RE before switching?
Yes — RU and RE samples for machine and job-fit assessment, with CSC trial support
