Required workflow

The IMX sequence needs both ends

IMX has no cleaning power of its own — never feed it and resume production at once. Follow the set order

  1. 1. Pre-purgePre-purge — purge loose resin and residue first with the technician-assigned grade
  2. 2. Introduce IMXIntroduce IMX — feed IMX into the system, controlling temperature per TDS
  3. 3. Soak 60 minutesSoak 60 minutes — hold IMX 60 min; never over 1 hour above 160°C
  4. 4. Post-purgePost-purge — purge softened IMX and residue out before feeding next resin
Critical controls

Precautions

Keep the sub-hopper zone at or below 50°C, and never leave IMX pellets sitting in the feed zone, hopper or under-hopper — they may melt and cake

Hot Runner compatible with no minimum clearance per TDS, but workflow and real-system limits still need confirmation before use

When to escalate

Use when residue is truly severe

IMX fits carbon that high-power purging grades still cannot clear — not a grade for daily color or material changes
